Visit: Farms of Canada

Simply a gallery of photos of our holiday in Canada. In this time we visited farms in Quebec (Ile d’Orleans) and communal gardens in Montreal.

The Ile d’Orleans supplies much of the food for Quebec city. It is a large island (37km long) located in the estuary near Quebec City. The island has a large concentration of farms which slope down to the water on each side. The diversity of farming is enormous: fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy. A great deal of tourists are drawn to the island each year, the best times to go are from spring to autumn, during winter the temperatures drop sharply!
